Minim

By Peter~10 Jul 07~~

Minim is a Textpattern template offering a wide variety of layouts. It installs in minutes, is standards-compliant and is mind-blowingly, incredibly fantastico! Of course, you would expect no less from its designer, Peter Moulding, the awesomely gifted, incredibly popular, brilliantly clever, multi-talented and extremely modest billionaire. bugatti

The price of success

Being so popular and attractive, people leave their inheritances, bequeath their palaces and throw their money and underwear at Peter. But success has its drawbacks and it is difficult to go anywhere without throngs of adulating fans desperately trying to see him and touch him. It can be very stressful having so much love and attention showered on you.

My back garden in Mongolia
Peter has escaped to remote hideaways in Tahiti, Mongolia, Barbados and Brazil but love-stricken women will stop at nothing for a moment in the presence of their idol. They post themselves to him inside huge birthday cakes. They become rich and famous in Hollywood just so he will speak with them on the phone. They even insist their fathers invade foreign countries so they can ingratiate themselves by presenting it to Peter as a gift. Wherever Peter goes people make a fortune by selling rare snapshots or pieces of earth he has walked upon.

One of my country retreats
Longing for the privacy and solitude of less privileged human beings, Peter is now believed to reside somewhere in Lancashire. Rumour has it that he is disguised as a strange old man who can occasionally be seen furtively scurrying down back streets late at night. None of this can be proved but what is known is that he sometimes frequents online forums and makes strange web sites with the famous Textpattern software. Perhaps the obscurity he longed for is no longer so appealing because it is inevitable that the Minim template will launch him into the limelight once more. Although obviously an art, design, information architecture and usability superstar, Peter is humble to enough not to take all the credit for the template.

Credits

Credit is due to everyone on the Textpattern forum for making it such a great place to hang out. The place is populated by so many geniuses and wise and witty people that it comes highly recommended. Special thanks to all the developers for putting so much time, effort and brains into the software and the forum.

For their TXP plugins, more specific thanks go to:
Utter Plush Mary for the Save New plugin (upm_savenew).
Alex Shiels for the contact form plugin (zem_contact) and font replacement plugin (zem_ir). Good luck with the new job, Zem.
Bert Garcia for the templates plugin (hcg_templates) which makes template installation a breeze. Burj Al-Arab hotel
