Flexy Guide 2
The Flexy template aims to be useful for various requirements. The default 3-column layout is pretty standard but add some variations and a 2-column layout too, all extremely simply, and Flexy becomes more flexible than many templates. The media know the power of headlines and the 6 preset header options make attention-grabbing a cinch.
Simply Flexible
The Flexy template uses all 10 custom fields as you can see from the screenshot on the left. (Note that in Opera images scale well at the small size setting. In Firefox or IE, however, you will need to use Cool II or Warm II) The custom fields are available under Advanced Options in the Write page. Down the bottom you will see 'twocol'. Just put 'yes' in it and you make a two-column article. By putting 'yesyes' instead, the left border disappears. Similarly by putting 'yes' in the 'two3col' custom field you get the layout for this page. Putting 'yesyes' would remove the main column left border. By putting 'yesj' or 'yesyesj' you get justified text. I'd say that was pretty simple to do! Textpattern is the greatest!

Communicate With Impact
I do not advise using all 6 header custom fields together! But used sensibly, headlines grab the attention and draw your visitor in to your message. I do not offer advice on how to do this because the art of persuasion is definitely not one of my skills. But try out the different custom fields, using long and short sentences, and you will see the potential to promote your message or product. You can add strong and em tags and other variations as usual. But remember to KISS (keep it simple, stupid). I think there's plenty of potential here but that includes making a mess if you're not careful :-)...try out the different custom fields, using long and short sentences, and you will see the potential to promote your message or product...
